My manipulated images which is part of my snow fall event

I duplicated the image then selected the background and adjusted it to black and white then i selected auto and pressed ok.I pressed unhide and elected the color image and go to select then color range. I then selected the eyedropper and select a color area and changed the fuzziness so that all the colors of the red petal were shown. I then selected the magic and tol and refine edges and changed radius to 0.5,smooth 2, feather 2 and contrast/expand 0. I then copy and pasted the selected area then delete the color layer and then i hid the background layer and erase amy unwanted bits with the eraser tool.
This is part of my black and white concept

My cropped picture

i have increased the brightness and lowered the contrast so the picture looks like it was taken earlier in the day, i have cropped the image using the rule of thirds which gets rid of the parts i don't feel are needed and so it creates one image with a main focus
This is part of my cropped image concept

My cropped, posterized and photo filtered picture of a branch with petals

This is a cropped version of one of my previous photos that i have uploaded to blogger and in this picture i have posterized the images and i have focused on the branch and some of the petals, i have edited the brightness so it is lighter and i have used a photo filter so that there is a pink filter in the photo which is similar to the petals on the branch

Sun and trees

This is a good photo because the colors of green and brown give a nice natural effect, it also follows the rule of thirds, it is also an interesting image because it is taken at an odd angle.

Long shot of the sky

This is a very nice image because the blue sky gets lighter as you one towards the bottom. also you can see the bright sun on the left and to the right is the distant moon. The soft fluffy clouds give a relaxing feel to the photo and the white clouds contact with the blue sky and trees

This is my 4 images of my snow fall event

The snow on the branches is a very nice because it contrasts with the dark branches and then with the addition of the red petals gives a very romantic feel to it as red shows love. You can see the different patterns on the branches which is interesting because each branch is different.

ihave cropped the image so that the apple is no the main image and has minimal background, the orange color gives it a fire effect and ith the darker orange around the edge of the apple it highlights it

i have edited the vibrance setting and i have changed the brightness so its lighter and i have changed the postirize setting so its all cartoon like

i have change the brightness so it is now lighter then i added purple shading to it

Rule of thirds

The rule of thirds is applied by aligning a subject with the guide lines and their intersection points, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section. The main reason for observing the rule of thirds is to discourage placement of the subject at the center, or prevent a horizon from appearing to divide the picture in half.

Symmetrical images explanation

symmetry generally conveys two primary meanings. The first is an imprecise sense of harmonious or aesthetically pleasing proportionality and balance such that it reflects beauty or perfection. The second meaning is a precise and well-defined concept of balance or "patterned self-similarity" that can be demonstrated or proved according to the rules of a formal system: by geometry, through physics or otherwise.

i like the symmetrical images because they are unique to other types of pictures, the show one side but copied onto the other side and creates and nice effect, natural symmetry is hard to master as it is very hard to have the same things on both sides.

the elephant is very well done because his wrinkle corrolate, the inside of the building is good because there are 2 doors to go out of. And the large building is good symmetry because it is a large and the symmetry goes well with the picture.

my mouse manipulated

i like this manipulated image because i took the colour of the ball and swapped it with the colour of the mouse itself and it created a very nice image.

close-up manipulated

i like this image because it had been manipulated to have a red background with the darker badge in the centre, it could give the effect of someone bleeding, and that adds gore to the picture

close-up

i like this picture because it is a school logo on a t-shirt, this is a close-up because it has a a bit of background on it

medium shot

i like this image of the desk and table because it has a bit of light beaming down onto it, which is a great natural effect.

Extreme close-up

i like this image because it is an apple from a apple mouse. this is an extreme close-up because there isn't a lot of background to it

Extreme close-up

I like this picture because it is a ball on a mouse but you cant exactly tell that from the extreme close-up so it adds a mysterious side to it

My Progress

I believe my progress on my blogger. i have been able to upload photos to my blog and upload documents from scribed to my blog. I am pleased with my piece on the history of photography because I feel I included some important information. I don't believe my work has many weakness's to it if any so far. i have enjoyed being bale to design my blogger page and apply different gadgets to my page such as slideshow and news feed from google news.

History of photography

In 1928 a man called Andre Kertesz took some pictures in a place in france called meudon. photography has been going on for 170years. Henry Fox Talbot invented photography in 1839. The First camera was a pin hole camera and A pinhole camera is a simple camera without a lens and with a single small aperture, effectively a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a scene passes through this single point and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box. The art of photography transforms what it describes and encapsulates something of the illusive art of photography.

Shot Distances

Mr Page

Congratulations on getting your Blog to work! Your analysis work has been very good, with a good variety of shots/shot distances. I especially liked your comment on how the long jumper's face was obscured. Do check your punctuation and spelling however.

My introduction

My name is Dale Blackwell and i'm in year 11 and i'm studying Media BTEC. Our current topic is photography and we have looked at what makes a good photo and the history behind photography, also we have looked at types of shot distances. eventually we will be taking our own planned photos for our unit. we already have already made a CD front cover. in making the CD front cover we had to research what the audience likes and the different pictures and colour's we want to include. we have also made a magazine front cover, contents page,CD front and back cover and a two page spread. All of this we had to put a lot of research into because we needed it to be presentable and appealing to the people who look at it.
